a history of justice

Pin white small

Our offices in Riverside Chambers are in the Cathedral Quarter of Derby city centre.

The building used to be a magistrates court and still has that feel to it in its corridors. The old cells are still in tact and we share the building with the local studies and family history library.

How to find us

Address

We’re based at Riverside Chambers, Full Street, Derby, DE1 3AF. This is a ‘Connect Derby’ building owned by Derby City Council, you will see their sign on the outside of the building.

On arrival, please advise the receptionist your name and who you are here to see and take a seat. You will be asked to sign in.

Car parking

Unfortunately, there is no parking at Riverside Chambers, due to its very central location in the City.

The Assembly Rooms multi-storey car park is directly opposite our office. Parking costs are £3.10 for up to 2 hours and £4.50 for 2-4 hours. You pay on departure and the machines take cash only.

There is on street parking on Full Street (pay and display) for a maximum of 2 hours at a cost of up to £2.50.

Alternatively, there is a privately-owned car park on the corner of Sowter Road and St Michael’s Lane (less than a 5-minute walk away) that costs £2.50 for 2 hours, then £1 for each subsequent hour up to a maximum of £5. You can pay by cash or by the PayByPhone mobile app.
