What makes us interesting as an employer

  • We offer holistic financial planning advice to our clients – predominantly affluent individuals and families. That means our planning work is interesting, varied and can be challenging.
  • Passive investment approach.  So our time can be spent on structuring good plans, rather than doing lots of fund research.
  • Cashflow forecasting as standard.  That means we can really see the effects of our planning strategies and come up with other ideas more easily.
  • We charge fixed fees, not a percentage of assets under management. We aren’t afraid to question the norm in our profession and do things differently, and more fairly.
  • We support and encourage flexible working.  So you can work around your other commitments. That includes term time working, working at home and part time working.
  • Chartered Financial Planning firm.   This shows we are one of the most professional financial planning firms in the country.
  • We invest in our team.   So you can attend courses, take exams and continue your professional development with us.

Recruiting now: Paraplanner

About you

We are looking for someone who is supremely organised and efficient, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

We are open to considering people with different levels of experience – but we are ideally looking for someone with at least five years’ experience as a paraplanner in a financial advice firm. We may be able to shape the role to fit you and can provide training where needed.

If you don’t have that experience but you’re a quick learner, hard-working and looking for an opportunity to take the next step up in your career, tell us why we should consider you. What’s most important is that you have the qualities and strengths we’re looking for.

The role

Depending on your level of experience, you will be responsible for:

  • Production of holistic financial planning advice reports.
  • Production of cashflow forecasts.
  • Data collection, research and analysis.
  • Overseeing advice implementation and follow through to completion.

The role could be based in either our West Bridgford or Derby city centre offices.
