If you have not been active on Social Media in the past week, you might have missed the news that Balance: Wealth Planning Limited were the winners of the 2018 David Norton Building Excellence CISI award, a prestigious award for financial planning firms. The nationwide award is named after one of the founding members of the Institute of Financial Planning, David Norton, and since its launch in 2007, the award is given annually to one business that has demonstrated excellence in their values, business strategy and structure.

Managing Director, Rebecca Aldridge and Director, Gemma Murden took part in the comprehensive judging process held in London in September. The pair presented to and answered questions from the judges, who were particularly looking for firms that provide holistic financial planning with lifetime wealth forecasting, invest in developing their team, and build the profession of financial planning.

At the Financial Planning Gala Awards, held in Birmingham on Monday 1st October 2018, the judges were full of praise for the winning company and mentioned that “Balance Wealth Planning had an ambitious and distinctive proposition that stays true to David Norton’s vision for financial planning as a profession.
