Karen Wyeld

My role

I am the Admin Team Lead, working from our Nottingham Office. I oversee our administrative team and assist them with anything they need. I also provide support to our Financial Planners and Paraplanners, ensuring that all our client data is accurate, paperwork is received on time, and processing is promptly completed. I especially enjoy interacting with our clients, ensuring they receive the best possible, all-around service and feel safe working with us.

Background

I originally started my career working for a pension provider in the South, before moving up to Nottingham where I became a specialist in working with all sorts of pensions, large and small.

I worked closely with financial advisers and our clients, building solid relationships along the way. And over time I expanded my knowledge to include investments, another skill which is very useful for my role at Balance. I now enjoy working with such a friendly and experienced team that provides excellent service to our clients.

What’s important to me

My family is very important to me. I have two children, 21 and 19 years old, so evenings are usually very busy with activities and clubs for them.

I enjoy keeping fit when I can, watching or going to the movies and catching up with friends.  I enjoy travelling and aim to go skiing most years.

Qualifications

I have a handful of qualifications relating specifically to financial services, including the Financial Planning Certificates and exams in Regulations and Ethics.
