My role

I am a financial planner – implementing strategies to grow and protect the wealth of my clients in a meaningful way.

Background

I graduated with the highest designation as a certified financial planner through the University of Stellenbosch in Cape Town, South Africa, which also used to be my home country. My first job as a financial planner was with Old Mutual South Africa. Here I established myself as one of the top 3 financial planners in the area and subsequently offered a highly sought-after position as successor of a well-established financial planning practice inside my organisation.

I will be quick to admit that the grass is, in fact, greener on the other side as I ambitiously transferred to Old Mutual Wealth UK (now Quilter) in 2016 to pursue a career in the financial capital of the world. For the next four and a half years, I expanded my vocabulary of British slang and even learnt the game of football.

I have since been lucky enough to join Balance Wealth. Beyond this organisation’s high standards of excellence, they align with my values of kindness and caring shown to their employees and clients.

What’s important to me

I believe that time is non – refundable and, as such, a constant reminder to live as intentionally as possible. Due to this mantra, I have become rather obsessed with human potential and the psychology of getting beyond your limitations.

An active life, especially surfing, is my happy place and fine wine my guilty pleasure.

Qualifications

I hold Certified Financial Planner status, and I am a Chartered Associate of the London Institute of Banking & Finance.

I have 10 years of financial planning experience in the UK and South Africa.
